In May, 2017, the Heard-Craig Center rocked the McKinney downtown area with it's Jazz on the Porch event. Open to the public, the event featured vocalists Shelly Torres-West and Marina Gwynn singing tunes like Route 66. A cadre of great, local jazz musicians completed the day's line up (Anthony Nagid, Aaron Flores, The JazzMark Trio, and Javier Gutierrez). Sponsored by Utter Wealth Management Wells Fargo, The Pantry Restaurant, Zin Zen, Mellow Mushroom, Bayou Jacks, and Eclair Bistro, the event was a springboard into the summer sounds at the Heard-Craig.
