McKinney Artist Nancy Alexander

McKinney Artists have gathered and learned at the historic Heard-Craig house for close to 100 years, thanks to the vision of Kathryn Heard.

One of the current McKinney artists who gathers here and who is rocking the region and the U.S. with her paintings, drawings, and enthusiasm is Nancy Alexander - designer, adventurer, and lover of life.

Nancy Alexander grew up in a family of glass artisans. But it was only through adversity that she discovered her passion and talent for art. Undaunted after a bone marrow transplant, Nancy learned new oil and acrylic skills to blend with her perspective drawing and watercolor skills.

Today, twenty-five years and multiple gallery shows later, Nancy's clients are from all over the USA. She has also garnered commission work from Mexico and Puerto Rico. She won First Place in the 2019 ART MEETS FLORAL design competition at the Heard-Craig Center for the Arts and so it's no wonder that 2019 was a banner year for her art sales.

We are lucky to have Nancy as part of the McKinney Artist Community.

She's quite a gem. Nancy can be reached on Facebook (www.facebook.com/NancyAlexanderVisualArtist), on Instagram (www.instagram.com/nancy_alexander_artist), or through her website at www.nalexander@nancysvividart.com.
