Historic Reunion as relayed to WFAA

Updated: Apr 17, 2025

Imagine losing something important only to have it re-surface after 54 years. That's what happened at the Heard-Craig Center in early April, 2025 when Corrie Carrasco accidentally found the architectural drawings to the Heard-Craig House in a Christmas auction basket. WFAA spent some time interviewing Corrie and me about the discovery. Click below to hear the story from WFAA:

The Heard-Craig sends its thanks and appreciation to Ms. Carrasco for her generosity in donating the architectural plans back to the Center. She is a model of kindness.

To take a tour of the Center, to see the current gallery exhibit, to schedule a group luncheon in the museum, or to see the original architectural plans, contact the Heard-Craig at 972-569-6909.

Wow, 54 years is an incredible amount of time for something to be lost and then found! It really makes you think about all the stories hidden away in old boxes. It's amazing how discoveries like this can happen, and I bet those architectural drawings are a treasure trove of information for the Heard-Craig House. Thinking about preserving such history also makes me appreciate tools that help capture and share stories today. For anyone looking to create engaging visual content, checking out something like Omni Flash could be really interesting for making things feel cinematic. So glad this story had such a happy ending!
